Peter Pizzeria Leicester Review & Blogger Party Fun!

Well my lovelies, today I'd like to share with you something really fun that I did on Tuesday night thanks to the ever so lovely Annie of The Tales of Annie Bean - I headed to my first blogger party at the absolutely incredible new Peter Pizzeria in Leicester! Now I've been to quite a few events with bloggers now but never to a networking party organised by another blogger. I have to admit I was kind of nervous at the prospect of meeting lots of local bloggers of all different genres but it was such a lovely experience I can't tell you! I've been longing for some more local blogger buddies for quite some time now so it was really wonderful to meet so many great people with similar interests and everyone was so delightful and easy to talk to. I would really like to thank Annie for organising it, she did a magnificent job and she's such a cuteypie I can't wait to meet up for tea and cake with her soon!

As for Peter Pizzeria, well I've already said that it's incredible but I think you just need to visit yourself to see how great it is. I pretty much knew that I'd love it as I go to the original Loughborough restaurant (which is conveniently a five minute walk away) pretty regularly and have never had a bad meal but I hadn't expected the awesomeness of the building and the decor. The team have really knocked it out of the park and have created a restaurant space like no other with a main dining room that has movies projected on to the wall, a cosy and bright breakfast room full of chesterfields for the perfect brunch, two fabulous private dining rooms for parties and events, the most interesting toilets I've ever seen (!!!) and even a games room complete with ping pong, foosball tables and an amazing Marvel comics wall piece by a local graffiti artist.

Of course the pizzas themselves are just great with sourdough bases and fresh interesting topping combinations all baked in hand crafted wood fired ovens - my favourite has ricotta, salami, pistachios and truffle oil... NOM! We started with giant antipasti boards which not only looked amazing but were super tasty and I was really pleased that I finally got to try their infamous Nutella pizza which was gorgeous - hot dough topped with Nutella, crushed hazelnuts and powdered sugar, what's not to like?!

As you can tell I had a wonderful time with Annie, some of the Peter team and all the other lovely bloggers. Next time you're in Leicester you simply must head to Peter Pizzeria and let me know what you think!
