Oh boy oh boy, I am really excited about this outfit guys! It makes me feel absolutely amazing and I'm even more ecstatic about that knowing that a few years ago before I started blogging I would never in a million years have dared to wear it.
So I'm sure you are aware of Yours Clothing, one of the UK's biggest and longest running plus size stores. Now over the last few years they've definitely upped their game with their ranges, but to be honest they've always been known for providing the clothing that is 'safe' and traditionally what a fat woman is advised to wear i.e. baggy tunics, leggings, maxi dresses etc. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but I confess I haven't found myself really drawn to any of their pieces for a while as I'm a fan of your more unusual and trend driven styles. That is definitely set to change however with the relaunch of their brand Limited Collection. This has always been the more fashion forward side of Yours, but with the relaunch they have got a really excellent range together and I am very excited to be working with the team on this and two more outfit posts to showcase some of my favourite pieces.
This ensemble has to be my favourite of the three and I just couldn't resist sharing it first. Sports luxe looks have always been notoriously hard to put together if you're plus size, mainly as most retailers don't offer or only offer a very small selection of fitness wear in larger sizes - possibly because they assume fat chicks won't be needing it. Rude! Even if you did manage to find a few pieces they were never very attractive and not something you would consider wearing as an actual outfit outside of the gym. Thankfully Limited Collection have got your back and have lots of great styles so you can live out your sporty fashion babe dreams.
Unless you've been living under a rock you will no doubt have noticed the trend for simple monochrome crop tops that has been plastered all over social media for the last year or so. Try as I might I just hadn't been able to find one in plus size in the UK, but then I spotted this LIMITED COLLECTION Black Crop Top With White Elastic Waistband (£10.99*) and squealed with delight. It is super soft and amazingly comfortable with a not too tight elastic band and nice thick shoulders to cover your bra straps. I am wearing this thing to death right now both for going on my exercise bike and for just chilling out at home with my husband so I think I'll be buying the heather grey version any second now too!
What would you team such a cute crop top with I hear you ask? Well if like me you aren't a huge shorts or jogger bottoms fan then the obvious answer has to be a pair of badass leggings which these LIMITED COLLECTION Black Plisse Leggings With Mesh Inserts (£23.99*) definitely fall into the category of. Again these babies are extremely comfortable with a nice soft waistband and made of a thicker plisse fabric that feels robust enough to be worn as a trouser. The mesh stripes to the knees and ankles are a great eye catching detail and contrast really well with the striping of the plisse. It's definitely worth mentioning that I sizes down in both these leggings and the crop top - I tried my regular size of the leggings and they were a bit too loose fitting so go for what feels best for you. It's a generously sizes collection for sure.
The icing on the cake here so to speak is definitely the LIMITED COLLECTION Black Sheer Mesh Hooded Top (£21.00*). This is another one of those pieces that is really clean and simple but so so versatile - I actually wore it over a black strappy cami dress for Download Festival last weekend too but I just love how it's relaxed fit style looks here over the form fitting crop top and leggings. It's a smooth, stretchy mesh and has to be one of my key pieces for Summer 2017 as it can be thrown over anything to add low key chic and provide a little extra breeze protection.
Like I said this is absolutely one of my fave looks of the year and one I will be seen in a lot this Summer for sure. I'm so pleased that Limited Collection has relaunched so successfully - keep your eyes peeled for the next two outfits in the series coming very very soon!
